Wanting to beat Jetlag? Read this tips:

Firstly, avoid alcohol in flight. With the pressurized air in the cabin your body dehydrates substantially, and alcohol affects the body clock by not giving you a full and refreshing sleep. Try to drink as much water as possible. Just ask the steward(ess) for a large bottle and keep it by your seat so you can take sips whenever you want. Drinking a lot of water will also help in other ways. It is highly recommended to move around when in-flight, walk up and down the plane, do dome stretching exercises, to keep the blood circulating, and stop the joints from stiffening.

While seated, swirl your ankles around from time to time. Depending on which direction you are traveling whether east or west, and how much sleep you require, you should set your watch to the local time of your destination as you board, and sleep according to that. This helps your body to start the change in its body clock, which is so important when combating jet lag. Let's say for example that you are flying from Bangkok to Paris then when you board the plane you should set your clock to Paris time and try not to sleep until it is close to sleeping time in Paris.

When you do arrive at your destination, and it is day time, try not to go to sleep, no matter how tired you are. Instead try to go outdoors and into the sunshine if possible, this helps to alter your body clock, and will mean you will be back to normal a lot quicker. One of the first hotels to offer a jet lag service was the Okura Hotel in Tokyo. They would offer the guests, a special bright light in their rooms, special food designed to help the body clock, massages and a whole load of other things, all so that you could be refreshed and ready to go as soon as possible. If you can't resist and your eyelids are drooping and you feel more and more tired, then set your alarm for four hours time, have a very hot bath, and then jump into bed.

Boothbay Harbor, will my dreams come true? Dear Bloggers, finally, I found a place where I may realize all of my dreams of a heavenly harbor.

A few days ago, when I was fishing at Pantai Marina (the Marina Beach), Semarang, Central Java – Indonesia, I was dreaming of a harbor where I may enjoy many things such as yachting, fishing, eating lobsters and other seafood, enjoying panoramic views, living in a spectacular Inn, etc.

When I was then searching on the internet, I finally found a place that I dreamed of. That’s Boothbay Harbor, a town in Lincoln County, Maine, United States, where the gigantic statue of 'The Old Lobster Fisherman' stand. There, we can find a lot of quality Boothbay Harbor Inn, Hotels, and Boothbay Harbor Restaurant as well.

Although its population was only 2,334 at the 2000 census, as a resource said, the entire region of Boothbay Harbor Maine is a popular yachting and tourist destination during summer months. As a result, each summer, Boothbay Harbor draws crowds of tourists who love to see attractions include the state aquarium, art galleries, boat tours to coastal islands and whale watching. It’s so amazing.

I hope someday I can visit Boothbay Harbor, living in the most spectacular Boothbay Harbor's Waterfront Inn, and Marina. I want to feel a warm, friendly service here. Eating The Maine lobsters and other seafood that served fresh from local waters will be my precious experience. Do you want it, too?

The Legend of Roro Mendut_2.

One night, when Roro Mendut was in her room, someone was suddenly outside her room. He whispered some words to Roro Mendut. And he called himself as Pronocitro. However, Roro Mendut felt curious about this guy, as his voice was similar with her husband’s voice, Prince Kumada.

Roro Mendut : “Hi, guy, is that you, Prince Kumada, my husband?”

Prince Kumada: “Yes. That’s me. Are you alright?”

Roro Mendut : “I’m alright. Oh, my Goodness, where have you been so far?”

Prince Kumada: “It is too long to tell, my wife. We better escape from here this time!”

Roro Mendut : “Sure. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. Let’s get out of here, my husband. I can’t wait any longer.”

Roro Mendut and Prince Kumada then ran away. They tried to escape from Regent Wiroguno’s area. But unfortunately, Wiroguno’s guards were already surrounded them. Roro Mendut and Prince Kumada were got caught, then to be delivered to Regent Wiroguno.

Wiroguno : “You will never be able to secede from me, Roro Mendut! Please, give up!”

Roro Mendut : “No, Sir. I’ll never give up. It’s better to die for me than become your wife. I and my husband can not be separated forever”.

Prince Kumada: “Don’t be arrogant, Wiroguno. Don’t try to take my wife away from me. I will keep alive our love with my blood and my soul!”

Hearing of Kumada’s words, Wiroguno then became angry. He suddenly pulled out his Keris and quickly pricked Prince Kumada’s chest. Prince Kumada was feinted. Fresh blood flowed out from his body, when finally he was died.

Knowing that her husband was died, Roro Mendut quickly grabbed Wiroguno’s Keris from her husband's chest. Suddenly, she pricked her stomach herself with the Keris. Finally, Roro Mendut was dead too.

The Mendut Temple (Candi Mendut) in Central Java-Indonesia is about three kilometers eastward from The Borobudur Temple (Candi Borobudur). This Buddhist temple that built in 824 AD has its interesting legend. It’s about a beautiful woman named Roro Mendut and her tragic love story.

Article below is the story about Roro Mendut. Please note that dialogues at this story are just my invention for a specific use.

THE LEGEND OF RORO MENDUT

Once upon a time, The King of The Mataram Kingdom released an order to all citizens of The Pesantenan Regency to give over their belongings to The Mataram Kingdom. It, without exception, included boys and girls. Since the Pesantenan Regency was under The Mataran Kingdom’s authority, all citizens here, including Roro Mendut and her husband, Prince Kumada, must bowed to this order. Because of this order, Roro Mendut then lost her family, as well as her husband. She felt so sad about this.

One night, Roro Mendut was sitting in front of Regent Wiroguno’s house. Knowing that the beautiful woman was in front of his house, Wiroguno then getting on toward Mendut.

Wiroguno : “Roro Mendut, why you looked so sad.”

Roro Mendut : “I had lost my everything. My family, my wife, and….”

Wiroguno : “Don’t be sad, beautiful woman. Everything will be fine.”

Roro Mendut : “No, Sir. Everything grew worse.”

Wiroguno : “No, Mendut. Everything will be fine if you would like to be my wife!”

Roro Mendut : “I am married, Sir. I already have a husband. I’ll never blow upon my true love.”

Wiroguno : “But, don’t you know your husband is not here? We don’t even know whether he is alive or not, right? You better get marry with me!”

Roro Mendut : “I’m sure, he is still alive, Sir! I’ll wait for him till we meet again!”

Getting a load of Mendut’s answers, Wiroguno then champed at the bit.

Wiroguno : “Ok! You may reject my demand. But, as compensation, you must pay me a large number of taxes. It is an order. You must amenable!”

Wiroguno was doing so in the hope that Roro Mendut would give-up then willing to be his wife, since he thought it was a quite bad punishment that impossible to be finished by Mendut. But, what really happened was beyond Wiroguno’s belief. Though at the beginning Roro Mendut was looked very shocked, but, in the name of her love to her husband, she finally accepted this order. “Ok, Sir. I’ll pay you taxes on the amount that you already order!” Roro Mendut answered.

In order to pay the taxes required, Roro Mendut selling hand made cigarettes. She even made cigarettes herself. And, she sticked on her cigarettes using her tongue then sold it in high price. Since Mendut was well known for her beauty, she could sell a large number of cigarettes that resulted in high income. She finally completed to pay taxes as required by Wiroguno on time.

According to the legend, Roro Jonggrang dared to refuse a proposal from Bandung Bondowoso, a Prince who fell in love with her. She refused Bandung Bondowoso’s desire for marry her, because he had killed her father and ruled her kingdom. Bandung Bondowoso then forced her, when finally Roro Jonggrang agreed, but she posed one impossible condition: Bandung Bondowoso must build her a temple with a thousand statues in only one-night time. the prambanan temple.

In order to actualize these temples, Bandung Bondowoso entered into meditation and called on a multitude of demons to help him. He, helped by the supernatural beings, then succeeded in building 999 statues. the prambanan temple.

Knowing that the temple with 1,000 statues she required was about to complete, as she didn’t love the prince, Roro Jonggrang had her idea to defeat Bandung’s effort. The princess ordered the women of the village to begin pounding rice and set a fire in the east of the temple to draw the wool over eyes of the prince and the demons. This trick succeeded. The demons assumed that morning had broken. They then fled back into the ground, and the thousandth statue was finally unfinished.

When Bandung Bondowoso knew that he had already been tricked, he got angry with Roro Jonggrang. He then cursed Jonggrang to be the thousandth statue, the most beautiful statue among the 1,000 ones. the prambanan temple.

One day, I went to Paris. Accompanied by a beautiful local guide, I walked along the street under The Eiffel Tower. Semarang City celebrates its 461 years of age.

On May 2^nd 2008 Semarang City celebrated its 461^st birthday. A lot of historical momentums were experienced by this old city during its journey of life. The existence of many old buildings has proven the long history of the city, the capital of the Central Java province.

The first historical momentum was the construction of the Stasiun Kemijen in June 7^th 1864 that marked the development of the first railway track in The Java Island. The work was led by Governor General Mr. Baron Sloet Van De Beele (1861-1866). Few other buildings that related with train history at the city are Stasiun Tawang that built in 1911, PT. Kereta Api Daop IV Semarang building (1930), and The Nederlandsch Indische Spoorweg Matschapij’s (NIS) building constructed in 1902 (well-known as Lawang Sewu). Another monumental building in Semarang that built by The Dutch Government is Blenduk Church, a Protestant church that built in 1753. It is located in the old town (called "Oudstad").

Semarang city is located on the north Coast of Java Sea. Situated on Java's northern coast, Semarang City lies just about halfway between the extreme east and west coasts of the island. As the one of five major cities in the nation Semarang is a busy administrative and trading city. Most of the offices, business centers, industrial estates are concentrated in the low land, where as in the hilly side, there are many houses with the beautiful gardens with a superb view to the town and the sea.

The population of Semarang City is predominantly Javanese, with smaller numbers of people from many regions in Indonesia. The city is also known for its large ethnically Chinese population. As a result, the city boasts several Chinese temples such as Sam Po Kong (Kedung Batu) that built in honor of the Chinese Great Admiral Zheng He who visited the area in 1405, and Tay Kak Sie Temple.

In front of The Lawang Sewu building stands a monument called Tugu Muda (Youth Monument), a monument in honor of heroes of Indonesia's independence struggle.

Tlogo Agro Plantation. Where I got new friends from Holland.

I got four very kind new friends from Holland last Saturday, May 10th 2008, at Tlogo Agro Plantation. They told me that they have been here in Indonesia for about a week. They had just visited Bali and will stay here for a week more.

Tlogo Agro Plantation is one of plantation tour destinations in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. It is about three kilometers eastern side from Kampoeng Kopi Banaran and about eight kilometers eastern side from The Ambarawa Railway Museum.

Though I didn't have enough time meeting them, I was feeling happy since I could take pictures with them in front of the main office of The Tlogo Agro Plantation. We exchanged name each other and I gave them the name of this blog, too. Their names are Mr. C. VERMAIRE and MR. C de SCHRIPPER.

This certificates made SidoMuncul as the only herb factory with the pharmacy standard. PT. SidoMuncul is intended to develop a good herb industry.

This intention made the factory concentrates more and becomes innovative.
